Arm appoints new board members and new CFO

CAMBRIDGE, ENGLAND, September 27, 2022–(BUSINESSWIRE)–Arm today announced the appointment of new board members, Karen Dykstra, former CFO of AOL, and Jeff Sine, co-founder and partner of the Raine Group, effective immediately. These highly-skilled executives bring multiple skills to Arm as he prepares for a potential IPO.

Arm CEO Rene Haas said, “I warmly welcome Karen and Jeff, two outstanding business leaders who will bring depth and breadth of experience to Arm’s board of directors.”

Arm also announced today the appointment of Jason Child as Chief Financial Officer (CFO). Mr. Child has more than 30 years of experience leading high-growth companies and scaling global finance functions. J. Child will join Arm on November 2, 2022 and will lead the company’s global finance and IT organizations, reporting to Mr. Haas.

Mr. Haas added: “Jason is a seasoned leader in global finance and technology. His vast experience in financial management of public companies and executing IPOs will be invaluable in preparing for a potential public listing. I look forward to working with him on the Arm leadership team as we continue to define the future of Arm-powered computing.”

Mr. Child will replace the current CFO, Inder Singh, who will remain with Arm as an advisor and help with the transition until November, before moving on to a new opportunity.

Most recently, Mr. Child served as Splunk’s Senior Vice President and CFO beginning in 2019. Prior to Splunk, Mr. Child held various CFO positions, including at Groupon, which he helped bring to the stock market. in 2011, and that of Financial Director of Amazon International.

About Karen Dykstra
Previously, Ms. Dykstra served as Chief Financial and Administrative Officer of AOL, a web portal and online service provider. Prior to AOL, Ms. Dykstra was a partner at Plainfield Asset Management, where she served as COO and CFO at Plainfield Direct, Plainfield’s business development company. Prior to that, Ms. Dykstra spent more than 25 years at Automatic Data Processing (ADP), a provider of human capital management solutions for employers, where she most recently served as CFO. Ms. Dykstra currently serves on the boards of VMware and Gartner, and she has also served on the boards of Boston Properties, Crane, and AOL.

About Jeff Sin
Mr. Sine is a co-founder and partner of The Raine Group, an international investment bank specializing in technology, media and communications. Prior to founding Raine, he served as Vice President and Global Head of Investment Banking for Technology, Media and Telecommunications at UBS Investment Bank, as Managing Director at Morgan Stanley, and as an attorney at Sullivan & Cromwell in New York and London. Mr. Sine currently serves on the board of directors of numerous Raine portfolio companies and subsidiaries. He is also a member of the boards of National Public Radio (NPR) (Vice President), ITHAKA, Educational Testing Service (ETS) (President), American University, and The Manhattan Theater Club.

About Jason Child
Jason Child has worked for 30 years in all aspects of global finance and strategy, accounting, treasury/capital markets, IPO execution, and investor relations. He has extensive experience scaling disruptive technologies within enterprise software/SaaS, eCommerce, local commerce, consumer hardware/IOT, and online residential real estate. He most recently served as Senior Vice President and CFO of Splunk, a technology company specializing in application management, security and compliance, and enterprise and web analytics. Prior to his leadership roles, Jason spent more than 11 years leading various global finance teams at Amazon and served as CFO of Amazon International.
